This book is part of a series that is a delightful mini-vacation for the mind. You can easily read this book, putting it down, picking it up, and not lose track of the story line or the characters. Ruth Hay is a writer that writes stories about people that could be sitting next to you in a hotel lobby, if only you were brave enough to strike up a conversation, you would meet people like those she writes about. I have read every book in this series, and often come back to this one. I am an older woman who has found a new love when I thought it was no longer possible. I think if I were to have to look again, I would read this series again. It gives everyone a touch of hope and faith - that when all else fails, communication is the best solution, and that one can never predict the results. Sometimes, that devastating change in your life is just a precursor to a whole new life. I don't like reading about perfect people. Gwen is not perfect. And this is why I like this book the best so far. I love it that even a grumpy woman can find love. Finally, I love to read a book by someone who writes well and properly. I can relax and just immerse myself in Ruth Hay's books. Granted, these are not the kind of books that one reads in class. These are for enjoyment and relaxation. Also, if you enjoy people watching as much as I do, you will love these books. It's almost like a traveler's guide to people-watching. In any case, buy the book and enjoy it. Loved this book, an easy read that told 2 intriguing stories set in the present day and in the past in Tasmania. Part of a series but is also a stand alone book, the story is about change, hope, mystery and a touch of romance.
It was captivating. I love to travel and the meeting in Tunbridge was so vivid that one could see the people and all the activities throughout. Loved it!
As before, I thought that this book was done well as a continuation of one before. So I enjoyed it.
